Why so many baby girl clothes pink or purple?

My wife is having another baby and we went shopping for baby clothes yesterday. It seems that the only thing they were either pink or purple. There was some yellow and almost no vegetables. Blue and reds and oranges were needed to be found. Most every thing that was blue, red or orange was a reference to become a "Lil Slugger "or" Prince "on it.

It's boring, is not it? Babywear have become so stereotyped sex it is also next to impossible to find clothes for boys who do not have a sports theme. When my parents were Baby, it was not at all uncommon for parents to dress their boys in frilly dresses. In fact, I have a picture of my father wore one. I have two daughters and people often mistook them for boys, no matter what they wore. Apparently, people think that babies who look are small and delicate girls, especially if they have curly hair, while those that look great and are tough boys. My two daughters were robust and had straight hair.
